Ben Morgan Carries Gloucester to victory
- 1501
Gloucester became the first Premiership side to register a win in this season's Champions Cup after they beat Castres 19-14 at Kingsholm.
Here are our Top Performers from the clash:
Ben Morgan - Gloucester Rugby
A powerful performance by the no.8 as he carried Gloucester to victory - literally.
He made 18 carries in the match and gained 51 running metres beating 6 defenders.
He also weighed in with 7 tackles and a turnover in a man of the match performance.
Franco Marias - Gloucester Rugby
A handy European debut by the former Sharks hooker.
His set-piece work was on point and was he a menace at the breakdown.
He was strong on defence and looked extremely spent when he was substituted in the 69th minute.
Jody Jenneker - Castres
Marias' fellow South African was just as effective as his opposite number in this game.
He was aggressive around the park whether he was carrying the ball or weighing-in on defence.
He was also extremely effective as a pilfer over the ball which stalled a number of Gloucester attacks.
Callum Braley - Gloucester Rugby
A real contender for man of the match. The young halfback was pinpoint in tough conditions.
He was lightning quick from the base of the rucks and set up a great try for Tom Marshall that was unfortunately ruled out.
"THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE SHOCKER"

A few minutes later his side did get the try when he linked up well with Marshall to dot down for the try himself.
Baptiste Delaporte - Castres
It's easy to see why many pundits are calling for the young Castres flanker to get a call up to the French squad.
He made a game-high of 21 tackles without missing a single one and was another Castres forward that was exceptional at ruck time.
