Aidon Davis Receives Clean Bill of Health After Cancer Scare

Cheetahs loose-forward Aidon Davis can breathe a sigh of relief after his bi-annual check-up revealed that the cancer he was diagnosed with two years ago has not returned, according to a report in sarugbymag.co.za.
Davis was diagnosed in 2018 with B-cell Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and subsequently underwent three weeks of radiation therapy.
Luckily the doctors caught it early,’ Davis said. ‘After that, I was back in training with the team. Then, in February 2019, I broke my leg in training, just before I was supposed to go on tour with the team to Europe in the PRO14.
‘I missed most of the 2019 season, including the Currie Cup. I started playing in the new PRO14 season, then the coronavirus brought everything to a standstill.
‘In these uncertain times and not being able to play rugby, I got very good news and I am very happy about that.”
