7 Key Moments: England v Argentina

England were dominant in the first half but a second half surge from Argentina put them under pressure, resulting in a close encounter. England managed to secure a 27-23 victory.

6’ England take a short lineout and break through; they are on the front foot and making about 30 metres. They get 10 metres short of the try line and George Ford goes for the drop goal and slots it in.  

10’ A box kick from Spencer just outside their 22, Feyi-Waboso chases and the ball is not collected, Ojomoh picks up the loose ball and races away for a try.

50’ England concede a penalty in their own half for not showing daylight, Argentina kick for poles and it’s a 4-point game after England’s dominance.

78’ Argentina go over the line but the try gets disallowed, they had an advantage, so they go back for it and Coles gets sent to the sin bin. From the penalty they tap and go, and they go over the line with 6 seconds to go. From the restart they play it all the way up the field and get a penalty outside England’s 22. They kick for touch but end up with a scrappy lineout and England win it back and kick it out.
