A thrilling game between New Zealand and England saw the two sides match each other physically and mentally as they went head-to-head, with the difference being a kick from All Blacks fly-half Damian Mckenzie resulting in a 16-15 victory for the All Blacks.

An exciting encounter that provided us with lots of action, let us have a look at some of the stand-out players with their stats.

Damian Mckenzie – The fly-half orchestrated the game very well for the All Blacks. He assisted a try with a beautiful kick pass, made 28 metres and beat 3 defenders. He was not lacking defensively as well with a 100% tackle success rate and winning 1 turnover. He kicked over two penalties which resulted in a very crucial 6 points for New Zealand.  

George Furbank – The fullback had a good game looking cool, calm and collected under the pressure of the high balls. He made the most metres in the game at 85m, in 13 carries also beating 6 defenders in the process. Defensively he was poor with only a 40% tackle success rate.

Ben Earl – The loose forward was leading the charge making the most carries in the game (21). In his 21 carries he beat 2 defenders, made 7 passes and 1 offload. He was a massive physical force making 15 tackles, missing only 2 and winning 1 turnover.  


Mark Tele’a – The winger was a menace to England’s defence making 44 metres, beating 10 defenders, making 1 clean break and keeping the ball in-play 5 times with offloads.  

Jamie George – The skipper played only 55 minutes, but he made the most tackles in the game. With 19 tackles, he certainly posed himself as a physical threat also bringing a wealth of experience to the team.


Immanuel Feyi-Waboso – The 21 year old had his hands full playing opposite of Mark Tele’a but he stood his ground. He managed to make 50 metres, made 1 clean break to score one of England’s’ two tries. Defensively he was sharp too, with a 90% tackle success rate and winning two turnovers.
