We've had a bit of trouble in the ITM Cup at scrum time his year, the final is no different. The first one going straight to deck.
Patrick Osborne breaks from his own 22 and makes 50m up field before passing inside to Taylor who is just caught, 5m short of the line! Good coverage from Ngatai
The ball is lost and hacked away. A massive kick from Ngatai brings us 70m down the field
Toomaga-Allen is caught offside around the fringes. Tyler Bleyendaal knocks the ball into the corner to set up the first attack of the game.
Both sides looking to get a feel for the wind early on with an ariel battle between the two fly halves.
Lima Sopoaga gets us underway! I know I'm excited but who's your money on? Anyone fancy the Wellington -2 handicap
Hello and welcome to this evening's coverage of the ITM Cup Premiership Final! Finally the day we have all been waiting for has arrived! If history has thought us anything, today, all form goes out the window, previous results are irrelevant and cup rugby prevails. Canterbury are out to make it sixth consecutive domestic victory but no doubt Vito and his men will be out to throw a spanner in the works. Both sides welcome back almost full strength squads with the Wellington back row looking particularly impressive. The weather is good here in Westpac and if the rest of the ITM Cup is anything to go by we are in for spectacle of running rugby here this evening!
