Toulouse break into the opposition half and look to add to their three points, but Selponi makes a superb intercept from a slow Toulousain attacking phase. He spreads the ball wide to Mas and finally Nagusa who tries to outpace a scrambling Toulouse defence. Viriviri is the man who brings him down on the 22..
After racking up a number of phases on halfway, Montpellier fling the ball wide to Qera who crashes over the gain line, and slips an offload to Viriviri - who looks to be through for a try - but the referee has other ideas, and play is called back for a forward pass. Montpellier steadily growing into this game, and looking increasingly dangerous with ball in hand..
Minutes later, McAlister cancels out Iribarent's three points with a kick of his own - Montpellier penalised for offside, right in front of the uprights.
Quera receives the ball on halfway and blasts through a crowded Toulouse defence, brushing off Harinordoquy among others. He links with Ranger who earns a further ten metres. Ranger is dragged to ground at the 22 and Toulouse infringe at the ensuing ruck. Iribarent makes no mistakes with the kick.
Four time European champions, Toulouse looking the more energetic side so far, with Harinordoquy in particular getting through plenty of work.
McAlister is given the opportunity to draw first blood when a rampant Toulousain maul is dragged down illegally in the Montpellier half. Kick drifts wide though!
After am abysmal start to their Top14 season - losing five consecutive games, the French power house looks to be turning things around, dispensing with Stade Francais and current European Champs Toulon in the last two weeks. Montpellier sit 4th in the Top14 table, but will be without a couple of key players this afternoon - most notably the in-form François Trinh-Duc who broke his leg against Oyonnax last weekend. Enzo Selponi fills in for now - the youngster certainly has plenty of potential. Kick off on the way!
