Short arm penalty to Waikato at the line out and Weber takes a quick tap sends it to McKenzie who puts in a huge kick trying to gain territory but kicks it out on the full

Tasman clear their exceptionally well and seem to do so with ease, distance and accuracy

Tasman dominate Waikato's scrum but they manage to get it out in time before losing it. Holah knocks on and it is the Mako's turn to feed the scrum. They dominate this one too and drive forward. The scrum turns under the pressure and Tasman are penalised. Cowan looks rather bemused

Waikato on attack and send it wide but the ball is ripped out of their hands in the tackle. The ball is eventually kicked out and Tasman take a quick throw in that opens up huge space for them but in the rush they threw it in forward.

The home side are clearly targeting Waikato out wide and some great straightening lines by their runners are doing the trick

What a well taken team try and brilliance by Malneek to score at the end. The Mako's exposed Waikato a number of times but never seemed to capitalise. That time though they did and it was a moment of brilliance by there full back that saw him cut the line in between two forwards follwed by a step as he ran around Albert Nikoro coming in as the last line of defence

Knock on and the first scrum gives Tasman a penalty and they set up a line out

Tasman receive the ball and do well to kick it clear but it isn't out. a great counter attack by Damien McKenzie opens up some gaps but Tasman were lucky to turn it over.

Waikato leads the sides out and in a few minutes we will get this grudge match underway
