The Stormers take a 12-10 lead over Benetton into halftime. Benetton opened the scoring with an early penalty, but the Stormers hit back with a try to lead 5-3. Shortly after, a Benetton score saw them back in front. The Stormers picked up a yellow card after 25 minutes, but Benetton were unable to capitalize on their numerical advantage. The Stormers crossed for their second try with the final play of the half to sneak in front by two points at the break.
