Sexton, perhaps justly after the earlier decision, misses a very make-able penalty. The former Leinster man pushes it to the right.
Racing gain good field position after Johnny Sexton "bounces" it into touch in the Scarlets 22. Replays suggest it may have gone straight out.
TRY SCARLETS. Scott Williams crosses for his sides first try. A Scarlets clearance bounced awkwardly for Racing full-back Benjamin Lapeyre and was well chased by Nic Reynolds who batted the ball into the path of Lion Jonathan Davies. He fed his centre partner Williams who ran in unopposed. Priestland converts. 10-10.
PENALTY SCARLETS. Priestland gets off the mark and lands his sides first 3 points with a penalty awarded after some ill-discipline from Dimitri Szarzewski. Important for Scarlets to get something on the board. 10-3 Racing Metro.
PENALTY RACING. Johnny Sexton adds another 3 points with a relatively easy kick from straight in front. 10-0 Racing Metro.
TRY RACING. From the resulting scrum Racing really attack the put in and disrupt the Scarlets scrum significantly. Wenceslas Lauret gathers on the loose ball and touches down for the games first score. Sexton converts. 7-0 Racing.
Despite spending their first 5 minutes Racing create the first scoring opportunity. Jonathan Sexton kicks wide where winger Juan Imhoff just fails to direct the ball into the path of the oncoming Dimitri Szarzewski. Scrum Scarlets on their own 5.
Priestland misses with another kick, this time from straight in front on the 10 metre line. Scarlets will be impressed with their pressure early on but the form of their kicker will be equally worrying.
Scarlets handed an immediate opportunity to take the lead after Racing fail to deal with the kick-off. Rhys Priestland will be very disappointed to miss from a penalty just outside the 22 and slightly to the left.
Good evening everyone and welcome to our coverage of this Pool D clash between hosts Llanelli Scarlets and the travelling Racing Metro. The Parisians come in to the game off the back of an important win in last week's all-French clash with Clermont Auvergne, a game in which the form of kicker Johnny Sexton was crucial to their success. Scarlets however will be full of enthusiasm and raring to go after their encouraging away win against Premiership heavy-weights Harlequins. One side will have to lose their winning start in what promises to be an intriguing game.
