Munster are back with ball in hand, applying pressure in the Connacht twenty-two. They patiently build the phases and find themselves within inches of the line, but O'Gara loses the ball in contact, and Parks clears.

Munster concede a penalty at the break down. Marmion takes it quickly and darts through the red defence. He looks to be away, but the cover tackle arrives in the form of Denis Hurley. Marmion's offload is fumbled forward and Munster relieve pressure from the ensuing scrum with a boot down field.

Great to see the big man back! Could have done with him for 6nations!!

After an opening quarter dominated by Munster, Connacht finally get their hands on some possession and put the Munster defence under pressure. A loose pass brings an end to the attack however.

Munster cross once more within five minutes. They form a rolling maul deep in the Connacht half. The maul tears through the Connacht twenty two at a tremendous pace. Varley splits from the back and crashes down for try number two.

Good to see Paul O Connell back. His Leadership qualities were missed

First blood to Munster! Great interplay between the backs and forwards leads to the try. A sniping run from Sheridan off the back of a ruck opens space for O'Connell who collects the half-backs offload and bundles his way over. Fantastic return for the Munster veteran!
