Irish get the game underway! Newcastle gather the kick-off and clear.

Good afternoon and welcome to this Aviva Premiership clash from the Madejski stadium where tenth placed London Irish host eleventh placed Newcastle Falcons. Neither side comes into the game with any great form or momentum. Irish have won just one of their last six Premiership games and are currently on a four game losing streak. Newcastle on the other hand have to go back to October to find their last Premiership win, that being in the reverse of this fixture when they beat Irish 13-11 at home. They've lost twelve games since then and have the unglamarous feat of being on the receiving end of Worcester's first league win this season just before the European break. A least fortunes are due to change for one of these teams today!
