CJ Stander is a huge loss to SA rugby , unfortunately at the time when he was first called up to an SA training squad , there were players like Duane Vermeulen, Marcell Coetzee, Willem Alberts and Francois louw around and CJ was very young and was told he was too small to play flank for SA but that he should move to hooker. Unfortunately that probably pissed him off I'm sure had he stayed in SA for longer he definitely would have become a springbok but he probably gave up on that too soon, which is dumb considering he was only 22 at the time. But he doing very well for Ireland he is ******* amazingly good 👌🏻
