Ireland take a 21-10 lead over Fiji into halftime. Fiji missed an early penalty, but scored a try straight after to lead 7-0 after four minutes of play. Ireland responded with a try ten minutes later to level matters. Fiji picked up a yellow card midway through the half and Ireland capitalized immediately with a second try to lead 14-7. Fiji pulled three points back with a penalty, but a third Irish try sees the hosts up by 11 points at the break.
