A thrilling first half here in Wellington with Julian Savea opening the scoring within the first minute of the game with a lovely intercept. He almost doubled his tally minutes later but was stopped but was stopped by Anton Lienert-Brown.

Brad Weber got one back for the Chiefs following a great piece of attacking play. Beauden Barrett and Damian McKenzie traded penalties before TJ Perenara extended his Super Rugby trying scoring record for a scrumhalf when he raced over the line off the back of a 5m scrum.
