FULL-TIME: Harlequins run out 18-14 winners at the Stoop this afternoon after seeing off Newcastle in the last few minutes. Quins dominated the first half scoring two tries and took a 12-3 lead into half-time. A second half bludgeoning looked on the cards for Newcastle after a poor first 40 performance. But the away side came out a different team after the break with their pack running riot up front. Rory Clegg took the opportunities afforded to him in the second half to level the scores before Alex Tait crashed over for Newcastle's only try. Newcastle were just minutes away from a huge win on the road before giving away penalties in kickable positions to Botica, who remained calm to recapture the lead for the home side and the eventual win. A losing bonus point for the away side will seem a bit harsh especially based on their second-half performance. Quins will count themselves lucky to escape with a win this afternoon after their concentration and tempo went missing for periods in that second half. Good effort Falcons a losing bp is good as Worcester lost to Saints. 11 points clear now. COYF
Aggressive defence from Quins pins Newcastle in their own 22. Good work from the home side
PENALTY QUINS: Botica recpatures the lead in these final minutes for his side with an easy kick from just to the right of the posts. The penalty came as a result of Lawson's yellow card. Cynical play from the Scottish hooker. A definite yellow in my opinion
Quins use the maul effectively as they earn a penalty. Lawson is yellow carded for collapsing the maul just as Welch was in the opening half
Harlequins win a penalty as Newwcastle go off their feet at ruck time. Botica kicks his side down the line
TRY FALCONS: Patient build up and good continuity from the Falcons pack results in their first try of the game from winger Alex Tait. Newcastle take the lead for the first time in this game with just 10 minutes remaining. Clegg is unable to add the conversion which could prove crucial in these last few minutes
Cracking work Falcons go Alex Tait COYF
The ref is consulting the TMO on a possible try for Newcastle after some patient play from the away side
Newcastle on the attack inside the Quins 22. Just a few metres out now
