What an exciting opening game. It was neck and neck all the way through and there was some very positive signs from an Italian perspective but France did just enough with three tries out wide and a superb second half kicking performance from Jules Plisson. France appear to need more time to gel together under this new leadership but there is certainly more to come from this squad and they will look to cause problems for Ireland next week.
