Counties Manukau host the Wellington Lions in week 4 of the Mitre 10 Cup. It is a special occasion as the sides will be competing for the inaugural Jonah Tali Lomu trophy in honour of the former All Black legend.
Counties suffered a 17-20 loss to North Harbour in their first game of the season but have since bounced back to beat Bay of Plenty 39-34 and Hawke's Bay 48-20.
Wellington beat Hawke's Bay 36-26 in their opening game but then lost to Otago 44-21. They came back from that to beat North Harbour 21-17 in their last outing.
Head to head these sides have met 31 times, with Counties winning 13 and Wellington winning 16 with two draws.
The last encounter ended in a thumping by Counties winning 55-7 back in 2014.
