Welcome to today’s coverage of the Toyota Cheetahs vs ACT Brumbies from Free State Rugby Stadium, Bloemfontein. The Australian conference leaders have not beaten the Cheetahs in South Africa since 2009; however the Cheetahs have failed to live up to the promise shown in last season. The Cheetahs come off a home loss to the Western Force while the Brumbies beat the table topping Sharks at home. The Brumbies have been given a boost by the return of winger Henry Speight who replaces the injured Joe Tomane in a relatively unchanged starting lineup. The Cheetahs have made 3 changes to their starting lineup which sees Shaun Venter replace the injured Sarel Pretorius, while Cornal Hendricks replaces Raymond Rhule on the wing. Willem Serfontein earns his maiden start for the Cheetahs. A victory for the Brumbies will result in them shifting to second position overall as well as extending their lead in the Australian conference.
