The Bulls and Sharks head into halftime all square at 13-13. The Sharks opened the scoring with an early penalty to lead 3-0. The sides then each ran in a try before a Bulls penalty saw the sides level at ten apiece midway through the half. The Bulls edged ahead with a penalty just after the half hour mark, but a Sharks penalty just before halftime sees the sides deadlocked at the break.
