Both sides have had disappointing campaigns, with each winning just one of their six matches.
Brisbane City were thumped 60-22 by Perth Spirt in the previous round, while Queensland Country notched up their first win with a 40-38 victory over the NSW Country Eagles.
These teams are effectively playing for the wooden spoon, with the winner ending 7th and the loser finishing in last position. However, there is the added incentive of taking home the Andy Purcell Cup in this Queensland derby
