Shane Horgan appeared in all four Tests on the 2005 Lions Tour of New Zealand.
The versatile Irish back earned his first cap in the 25-25 draw with Argentina in their pre-Tour Test.
In the Land of the Long White Cloud, Horgan impressed head coach Sir Clive Woodward in the warm-up games against Taranaki and Wellington, scoring a try in the former.
Horgan was used off the bench in all three Tests against the All Blacks but was powerless to prevent a series defeat.
But in the green of Ireland and the blue of Leinster, Horgan went from strength to strength and is best remembered for his 2007 try against England that sealed the Triple Crown. He retired in 2012 after a long-running battle with a knee injury.
